1. Where are your servers physically located?   Top

They are located in USA, either in Dallas or Seattle.


2. What is the purpose of a dedicated IP?   Top

Due to some particular qualities of HTTPS protocol, you need a dedicated IP address in order to setup a dedicated SSL certificate. Therefore, if you're planning to use a shared SSL provided by our company, usually you don't have to use a dedicated IP. However, if you intend to have your own dedicated SSL, a dedicated IP is needed in this case.


3. How long does it take to install/transfer the store?   Top

Store installation/transfer is performed within one business day. After the procedure is completed, the store is accessible via a test URL. The convenient time of a final transfer is settled between you and us before proceeding.


4. What kind of servers do you use?   Top

We use powerful dual-processor multi-core servers with 4Gb RAM and RAID10 hard drives allowing to achieve fast performance.



5. I've just accidentally deleted an important file! What should I do?   Top

We perform data backup on a daily basis and will be glad to restore any necessary file free of charge.


6. Will X-Cart work fast on your hosting?   Top

Definitely. Our servers are optimized to achieve smooth X-Cart performance and everything will work quickly. We can also perform the speed optimization of your store free of charge.


7. How do you provide support?   Top

Technical support is provided via HelpDesk.

For urgent problems, we advice that you use the HotRush option. Unfortunately, we do not provide phone support, however, tasks requiring intense communication can always be discussed via instant messenger.


8. What about security?   Top

We take security questions very seriously since they are a critical factor for all store owners. Our servers are PCI compliant and they are checked regularly via Comodo HackerGuardian, McAfee Secure (ex-ScanAlert) and Nessus vulnerability scanner.

Also, our servers are protected from DDoS attacks via Cisco Guard and built-in LiteSpeed web server components.


9. You're using LiteSpeed web server instead of Apache. Will my custom scripts be workable in this case?   Top

Yes, definitely. LiteSpeed is compatible with Apache, therefore you can use your custom scripts along with mod_rewrite and .htaccess rules. Also, LiteSpeed provides a significant web site performance increase


10. Will my account be suspended if I miss the payment date?   Top

We never disable accounts without serious reasons. Prior e-mail notifications are sent before the date of prolongation. If a payment is not made on time, we make several extra attempts to contact you via e-mail, HelpDesk or phone.


11. Will I need anything else to start selling?   Top

We provide all services except for merchant accounts and payment processing. Therefore, all you need to do is pick a payment gateway and register a merchant account.


12. What's the difference between your approach and purchasing the shopping cart license along with hosting?   Top

Our approach (a hosted solution) is actually more affordable since you receive a pack of services at a discounted price. However, in this case, you do not own a software license.
